Surgical Order Sets<\/h2>\n

The provincial H&K Arthroplasty Order Sets were released in 2019 to complement the H&K Surgical Care Path. These order sets incorporate specific care recommendations for patient activity, fluid and nutrition intake, medication treatments and discharge plan throughout the patient\u2019s journey.<\/p>\n

There are three types of order sets, including:
1. Total Hip\/Knee Pre-operative Clinic Orders<\/a>
2. Total Hip\/Knee Pre-operative Same Day Admission Orders<\/a>
3. Total Hip\/Knee Post-operative Orders<\/a>

This booklet and appended tools provides the patients with introductory information about OA and conservative treatment options to explore while they wait for a consult with a surgeon, and possibly surgery:<\/p>\n
